John Dickson

John Dickson has reputedly been the most awarded radio creative in the world.  He is a revenue generator, researcher and e-trainer consulting to broadcasting networks globally.
 
In New Zealand with its deeply fragmented markets and Australia with its complex multi-culturalism, John’s ability to achieve outstanding results for SMEs and national clients is as legendary as his shelves full of international awards.
 
His 45-year advertising career has been a crusade to improve results for advertisers, too many of whom have been underwhelmed by their advertising ROI.
 
His ability to communicate to and impress audiences from SMEs to major corporates has seen his career progress to addressing conferences around the world for clients such as The Royal Bank of Scotland, AMP Malaysia, Real and Smooth Radio UK , Fairfax, The Radio Network of New Zealand, and Austereo world wide.
 
His client portfolio over the years makes for a who's who of premium brands including American Express, Coca Cola, Colgate, Ikea, Mercedes Benz, MacDonalds, Hewlett Packard, Nestle, Panasonic, Pepsi, Qantas, Sony Pictures, Microsoft, Sanitarium, Twentieth Century Fox and Unilever.

​​April was the first woman in Australia to be appointed Manager of a capital city radio station and was a member of the Prime Minsters Women’s Advisory Board during the Hawke and Keating governments in Australia.
 
She is the former general manager of Network Communications in Wellington and Chair of the Wellington Public Relations Institute of N.Z.

April is the consumate PR professional with vast international experience in marketing communications and media. 

During a career spanning 4 decades She has worked with clients in Australia, the UK, USA, Asia and New Zealand. 

She is widely recognised for her capacity to come up with creative solutions that reflect strategic intent.

April has developed brand building communication campaigns for corporates from AMP and PWC,  to Power Brewing and Hotels, the NZ Cartoon Archive and the Australian Children’s Music Foundation.

Utilising her producing credentials April has created and managed conferences, concerts, product launches and opening events. 

She has choreographed and produced annual AMP NZ Conferences, launched the Body Glove clothing label in Australia and new beer and clothing labels.

She has won awards for her marketing communications work in Queensland Tourism and has fronted tourism videos for tourism in the North Queensland region.
 
​A former journalist, television presenter and radio announcer, April is highly regarded as a media trainer on both sides of the ditch having successfully guided many politicians, celebrities and CEOs through media minefields.
